Dead mum's sewing machine. I've had these shorts with a hole in the pocket for about 3 years. Now that Mum's sewing machine is back in service I have been able to provide my own tight arse solutions to some of my everyday problems.
Thanks Mum.
A little more from CullenofAdelaid when not in the fray. A tragic on two levels: Gardening and Cooking, with welcome interruptions from family and the wonder that is the world and its people.

Mum died over 2 years ago and in the wash up I got her sewing machine. I was pretty good at it when I was young but never really had any need for it. Skydiving however makes fools of us all.
And before I go on this overseas trip my weight belt needed to be compartmentalised. I had the tools and I thought I had the talent. So I got the job done.
It was a nice job to do -for a number of reasons.
A good friend got me some oysters and I have never really spent time learning how to open oysters. 6 oysters in and I am starting to get it.
Did you ever cook a dish that made you just want to cry. I think I might just have done exactly that.
We call it yummy pasta but it really is just a white sauce with ham and it's perfect for after Christmas. So I fried the hammer chose to use fresh sage this time and strangely a jar of is a tablespoon of minced garlic from Woolies I let that all settle and then stayed in some semi dried tomatoes and anchovies. After that a can of Carnation milk light.
1/2 a cup of white wine before taking it off the heat and putting me Carnation milk in.
This is all looking pretty good. I think we had a win.
What I like about gardening is when attention to detail can bring fantastic results. I have noticed that when my Italian parsley goes to flower is create a very nice environment for ladybirds to breed. I'm quite sure that these are early stages of ladybirds before they become the alligator ladybirds that then go on to be the beautiful bug we know that eat aphids.
As you can see I like pepper. And restaurants where the waiter comes around with a huge pepper grinder should be good. They promise so much but delivers so little.
On the one hand they will generally only sprinkle a tiny bit. If they were to sprinkle enough for me that would be great but if I was to ask them I would then be inviting and unweighted conversations about her how much I love pepper.
The same thing when I get jalapenos at Subway.
